Thanarru ngajubintharri!
I am writing to you from Hobart. This was not part of my plan, from Port Arthur I was meant to make my way up the east coast, but alas, it wasn't meant to be.
When last I posted I was whinging about car troubles - poor Kermit was cooked, literally.
The mechanic I took her to explained that it was a problem with the heating.............. (actual white noise while I nodded and smiled).............
But he could bypass the..........(more white noise).........
Anyways, when I picked her up a few hours later he said she was good to go, I can drive her as normal but I no longer had any heater.
Fair enough, I was happy she was fixed and I could continue my sight seeing.
Before I go on I just have to share some thoughts on the pub I was at while waiting on my car.
I went to the Nubeena tavern so I could wait out of the rain and read my book, little did I know the bar flies would be sharing the town gossip, not with me of course but they were talking very loudly so I caught every word.
Apparently a woman they knew also named Caitlin was having custody battles with her ex (who was a pedo) and she ditched legal aid (who are useless) to get a "real lawyer" (who did help her for an exorbitant fee)... However, don't feel sorry for her just yet as she's the town doorknob (everyone's had a turn) who's trying it on with all the women she knows (presumably made her way through all the men) and she's a lazy dole bludger.
I can tell you right now I didn't make any kind of dent in my book that day. All I could think is, man every small town really is the same and sometimes not even the names change!
But back to my travels. I picked up Kermit and we drove to Remarkable Cave for a looksee.

Then we headed off towards Wineglass Bay
We made it 50kms before the car started to overheat again. So I decided probably best to just head back to mum's
I think we did another 40kms before I realised Kermit wasn't going to make it. We were pulling over to cool down every 10-20mins
We barely made it to Hobart. I've parked her up and am staying at a very nice hotel and first thing Monday morning I'll see where I can get her in.
I'm hoping she can be fixed because she's a good car!
And before I sign off I just want to add that Flight Centre finally got back to me while I was waiting at the pub of the damned and I was able to change my flights.
Typical! They're just like that annoying co-worker who slacks off all the time but as soon as you have a whinge they turn around and prove you wrong!
You and Bont are too cute!

Love the blogs, but sorry about Kermit. If you want to put a positive spin on the car issue, at least she didn’t overheat and blow up in the middle of the Nullarbor. Yeah, okay, not helpful… xx
