Thanarru!!!
I had a cracker weekend and I just have to share it with you!

Remember in my Glasgow post I said I had a date with a Glaswegian who took me out to a whisky bar? Well this weekend he took me camping in the Scottish Highlands!

And it was a highlight of my travels!

We climbed a Munro - Ben Hope. I made it almost to the top before my old lady knees refused to climb anymore. I got to roughly about 800m elevation. My friend made it to the top! 900m...ish. Not too sure but it was so high the peak was engulfed in cloud.
Then we set up our camp on the bank of Loch Hope and it was so beautiful and tranquil!
I bathed in the loch and it wasn't as cold as I thought it would be.
And one of my favourite moments was sitting around the camp fire having Robert Burns read to me by a Scotsman.
Magical!

We spent two nights camping and I got to see a gorgeous part of Scotland I wouldn't have been able to see on my own.

And now I'm in Oban where I have been enjoying the best fish & chips in the UK.
This seaside town is bloody beautiful!

Tomorrow I hop on a ferry first thing to spend a few nights in the Isle of Coll and I am so excited for that! The night sky is meant to be spectacular! There are no street lights on the isle. It's classed as an International Dark Sky Association community.
Enjoy the photos!

The pics are amazing xxx
