Disneyland Paris And Me

Bonjour!
Before I get stuck into Disneyland Paris I want to finish talking about the aerial silks and lyra retreat I was doing.
That was amazing!!
I had so much fun and I met such lovely wonderful people that I really hope to see again. We even put on a show on our last night and I think we killed it!

I didn't take any photos of the actual classes because we weren't really allowed to and I don't keep my phone on me at all times. But I did do the photoshoot that was offered and I will post those photos when I get them.

On that last night I also got to enjoy a drink with the others and celebrate a cracker show and awesome retreat, and to celebrate completing my 21 days of reiki practice.

During my 21 days I had to do a self practice twice a day as well as stay off the grog and limit my meat consumption. I actually think this was more of my reiki teachers' thing than an actual reiki thing, but I committed to it and I completed it!
I was also very lucky in that a lot of the other guests and even the aerial teacher let me practice on them so I got a bit more experience under my belt too.
I'm hoping to get my Level 2 reiki before I return to Australia. Fingers crossed.
After the retreat I hopped on a train (or two) and made my way up to Disneyland Paris. The hotel room I'm staying in is tiny and I have to be careful I don't crack my knee on the sink when I sit down on the toilet. But it's clean and pretty quiet and the bus to Disneyland is right outside the door.

Oh and it is expensive as fuck here! I knew it would be but still going to have a whinge.
The taxi driver ripped me off, charged me 30€ for a 10 minute ride (he can get fucked). I think this may be the first time that a taxi has ripped me off, at least from what I can remember. Not one taxi in Asia was as bad. The taxi's in Fiji were a little annoying but I was having a bad time there even before I landed.

Anyways, I also paid an arm and a leg for a very basic hotdog and chips and a weird arse tasting coke. But it filled my hole so I guess I shouldn't whinge too much.
And moving on from that subject.
Disneyland Paris was pretty cool. Not really a place for a solo traveller, but it was cool to see all the rides and characters walking around and it wasn't crazy busy either, and the people weren't too bad.

The weather was perfect too, nice and sunny and not too hot.
I went on a very fun haunted house ride and on the Indiana Jones roller coaster. I'm not really a roller coaster person I found. I don't get scared, but because I don't scream there's no release for the drops and loop de loops and I just sit there feeling dizzy.

I only spent a few hours there before my social battery was drained. But it was a fun time and I'm glad I went.
Oh, and before I forget I wanted to share something that happened at the aerial retreat.
One of the other ladies there thought I was neurodivergent. She is and she noticed a few tell tale signs. I have no idea if I am or not but from the things she told me it's possible.
But I figure I've made it to 34 years and I'm doing just fine so it's not something I'm going to check with a doctor.
I could be neurodivergent, but then a couple of the traits are also trauma symptoms. Anyways, that was something I wasn't expecting to hear!

Oh and I've changed my plans somewhat. Tomorrow I catch the train to London and I'm going to bang around the UK and Ireland for a little while. It'll be nice to navigate an English speaking country for a while, plus it's nice weather there.
After that I'll head back to Europe.
And I've pretty much given up on the US. Yes it is a beautiful and big country but it's a little tense (and crazy) at the moment so I'll give it a miss for now.

Love reading about your adventures. Looking forward to the next post. Travel safe
Love Aunty Susan
