Tashi Delek!
There you go, you've just learned to say hello in Tibetan.
Yesterday was my last day of volunteering with GVI Nepal. Yeah I'm sad, I feel like a month wasn't long enough. But I'm also feeling very blessed to have been a part of the amazing works going on here and to have met the amazing people I have.
Now I don't know the proper names of things so bare with -
We had a traditional farewell from the schools we worked at. The principal/staff gave us tikka, a scarf and flowers and thanked us for our efforts. Not gonna lie, I was very moved.

Then we had our leaving presentation at the homestay and the staff spoke of our time there and we got to speak of our time as well.
I am not ashamed to say I got teary.
I have wanted to visit Nepal since I was a little girl and I've wanted to volunteer overseas since I was a teen and I've gotten to tick both off my bucket list!
And I've been so lucky to meet the lovely, beautiful staff who I am going to miss! I definitely hope to see them again, whether it's here in Nepal or back in Australia.
I'm still going to be kicking around until the end of the month though so I don't need to be too sad.

I've made it my mission to finish off a mural that a very talented volunteer started a couple weeks ago.
He's drawn it all up so I only need to paint it - here's hoping I don't cock it up!
A fair bit has already been done by myself and my roomie so I think I can get it done before I leave.
I really hope so because I've still got a fair bit on my to do list.
I want to go to Australian Base Camp, I want to do the 3 day safari, I want to do the Everest flight, and a local tour around Kathmandu (I'll be staying there a couple nights before I fly to Vietnam).
Anyone else excited?? I know I am!!

Looks amazing, enjoy your adventure xxx
