Stranded In Port Arthur

Yep, you read that right, I am stranded in Port Arthur. My car decided it was sick of Tassie roads and Tassie drivers and chucked a wobbly and overheated!

I'll be fucked if I know what the problem is!

None of the lights on the dash came on, all I know was there was a weird burnt smell, then smoke started coming out of the vents, then I noticed the coolant gauge was clear in the red!

Thank fuck this happened 5 mins away from my hotel room! Still took me about 20 mins to get there and I have missed out on the ghost tour (which I was really looking forward to). I mainly missed out because I was on the phone with Allianz motor insurance and waited yonks to find out they can't help me! Nor could that poor bastard cancel my useless fucking policy!

Soon I'm going to Google RAC and tomorrow I'll figure out where the closest mechanic is... until then I'm drinking my beers and eating my chocolates.

So yeah... this little road trip did not go the way I was hoping. I can only hope the mechanic I see tomorrow is smoking hot and as keen on a root as I am at this moment...

Contrary to the rest of my post I did actually have a good day (at least a good arvo). I went over to the Coal Mines Historic Site. I wasn't that keen on it to be honest but the lady at the inn highly recommended it, and I'm glad she did. It really was special. The day itself was special. While it's pissing down on the north coast it was clear and sunny skies down here. Such a beautiful day to go wondering around some old ruins along the coast.

It really was beautiful! And it helped filter out all the un-helpful crap running through my head.

I have a problem with thinking too much, and during the whole 4 hour drive down to Port Arthur 2 things were running through my mind, putting me in a less than happy mood... one, I'm trying to accept certain things gracefully, and two, fucking Flight Centre need to hurry up and get back to me about changing my fucking flights!

I fly out on the 18th August and that first flight needs to get changed. So, if you are thinking about going to the Flight Centre on Murray Street in Perth City, I would strongly urge you to reconsider because all changes/cancellations must be made to that office and not online, and they don't know how to answer emails or phone calls!

Oh! And before I sign off to go cry into my beer I fixed the comments issue, so people should be able to leave any comments they like
