The Fiddly Stuff

The worst part about travelling for me is 100% the planning/organising!

I'm about a month away from leaving home and though I've sorted out most things I still have so much to do. I've got to pack and put my stuff in to storage (ugh). I've got to finalise paperwork for my volunteer programs (double ugh). I've got to cancel automatic payments to various things (just shoot me now).

I used to think I was a very organised person - but then I also used to think I had my shit together (ha!) - but alas no. I am quite unorganised and rather spontaneous*, I've been known to walk into a Flight Centre just for a browse and leaving with a holiday booked!

The best thing about Flight Centre is someone else does all the planning and I just rock up at the airport. This time it's different, I'm not just leaving for 2 weeks and back into normal life. So I've got to put my big girl pants on and actually plan... 😭

And I fully get there is no sympathy for me on this.

"Oh, you have to plan an incredible overseas trip of a lifetime... you get to have 12 months off work.... I feel so bad for you!"

But I'm still gonna have a bitch and moan because this is my blog and I spent a good few hours creating it. So, nyah!

*learned I was spontaneous and not organised from the Myers Briggs Personality test. If you haven't done it I highly recommend.
