I'm pretty rooted so this is gonna be short and sweet.

I spent about 4 nights in Aberdeen, a city built out of granite, hence why its known as The Granite City. Sounds like something out of The Never-ending Story.

At first I thought it was a cold, harsh, empty city but I quickly saw the beauty! It's grey yes and a bit severe, but very pretty in its way. It's also a seaside city so I had a lot of fun at the maritime museum!

Also spent a day in Stonehaven, a pretty town about a half hour train ride from Aberdeen, where I took a nice coastal walk to Dunnottar Castle and got to enjoy the Scottish summer!

On my last day I walked to Footdee (pronounced Fitdee by the locals) which used to be the fishing village in Aberdeen. The old fishing houses are still there!

Had a cracker time in Aberdeen! Enjoy the photos 😁

A bleak yet beautiful city when the sun shines 🫶🏻
