The Scramble Before The Fly Out

Thanarru! (or however the hell I've been spelling it)

I fly out to Barcelona next week and I am getting the jitters. I am nervous about leaving something behind, forgetting something etc etc. I am also trying not to think about leaving Radley. I am going to miss that little stink face like mad! But I know he's going to be spoiled rotten and that he's loving his new home here at nana's.

But mostly I am super excited! I have not been to Spain before and I can't wait. Never really had much interest in Europe (or the UK or US) but this next lot of travel is all about doing new things and trying to enjoy myself and have fun dammit!

I think we all know how absolutely wonderful my year has been so far, so I'm hoping things are on the upswing now.

I have booked myself into a small guesthouse in Barcelona outside the tourist district and will have plenty of chances to practice my Spanish (and I've been practicing every day).

I've also got a new wardrobe that I've sewed myself!

OK my mum sewed some of it. She's an absolute boss when it comes to sewing and I've been learning heaps. I am now addicted to sewing and am a little bummed I'm not going to be able to sew while travelling.

OH! And I did get my diving tickets! I have my digital Open Water and Advanced Open Water e-cards on my phone and will be diving while travelling. Wanting to dive in Spain and Greece.

I do have a quick whinge though (of course I do). I ordered a Qantas travel money card and after three weeks it finally arrived yesterday. Yay!...

Only it expires in May of this year...

What is the bloody point of that????

I get like a whole full month of April to use it and then it stupid expires because of stupid Qantas being stupid!

So yeah. Winning!

But I have my Westpac travel cards and I'll pick up another one at the post office. And I'll still take the stupid Qantas one and stupid use it.

Other then that I'm just hanging out with Radley until I fly out. We spent a night camping just the two of us, and if the weather holds out we'll do it again. Was so nice and peaceful and I didn't even mind the bitter cold. I love being outside and out bush/wilderness whatever you want to call it. I like getting away from it all.

Also one of the reasons I love diving. You are away from all the noise, all the drama, all the stress.

Anyways, enough of me banging on. I am going to get back into the sewing room (there's a shirt that needs finishing) and then maybe take myself and the woofers for a walk.
