Thanks for coming along on my travels. I've never done a blog before so I imagine it's going to line up nicely with my journey - a bit bumpy and awkward to start off with then I'll find my groove.

I used to be a writer, at least I had a real good crack at it, but my writing skills are rusty as fuck so this could get a little painful for all involved. I'll try and avoid the god-awful tropes of travel posts like "The Himalayas are simply majestic..." or "I found this hidden gem today... #travelislife" or whatever. I actually don't know what a hashtag is, to me # is the pound sign on an actual house telephone with a cord. Yes I'm old. Yes I'm waaaaaaaay behind the times!

But I digress. This blog is so people back home can check in and make sure I am still alive, I figured it was way easier than emailing/messaging heaps of people regularly, and I flat out refuse to get social media, very bad for my mental health!

I'm super excited for my travels! I have always wanted to volunteer overseas and I am finally getting to do it. I will be doing a construction program in Pokhara, Nepal and a marine conservation program in Fiji. The rest of the time I am going to be wandering around Southeast Asia doing sweet fuck all and enjoying life.

To kick things off me and the dog and a couple girlfriends are road tripping it from Perth to Tasmania. The sista girls are hopping off at Melbourne and me and Radley will be hopping on the ferry to Tassie. I'm calling these posts Road Tripping With Radley so expect a lot of pics of the pooch.

Then it's off to Nepal!

So stick around (or fuck off, dealer's choice). I dunno what's gonna happen but it should be a laugh :)
